Click here to see a demo of the Flash Point & Click game engine.
When you buy the Flash Point & Click game engine, you will be able to make a game like the one above. The Actionscript is all complete and ready for you to just start designing your game graphics and implementing them in to the Flash.
The engine includes:
- An inventory system
- A navigation system
- A map that shows the position of the player
- Interactive items
- A combination lock puzzle
To go in to more detail, the inventory system includes:
- Items being placed in the order they were picked up
- The inspection of an item when the cursor is hovered over
- A "ghost" image following the cursor when item is selected
- The ability to deselect an item by re-clicking it
- Combining items
- A second page of items that can be accessed by clicking the arrow that appears when the first page is filled up
- The item slot being filled by other icons when an item is used (includes a smooth tween)
Experiment with the Flash above to see how your game will work. The layout of the inventory system is customisable in the following ways:
- Use any graphics you want, so it matches the aesthetic of your game.
- Position the horizontal bar at either the top or bottom of the screen
- Have the item icons any size you want
- Have as many item icons in the inventory 'pages' as you want before spilling in to a new page
- Have the map on either the left or right hand side of the icons
By purchasing the Flash Point & Click game engine you are agreeing:
- Not to use any of the graphics inside the .fla file for your own work. These are copyright of Chris Ayres and are included in the file merely for demonstration purposes only.
- Not to share the file or Actionscript coding within with anybody else.
- Not to sell the file or Actionscript within to anybody else.
- That you will not upload the file anywhere on the Internet or distribute it in any way.
- That you have a basic understanding of how Flash is used. It is not recommended that absolute beginners attempt to make a game. Follow some basic tutorials online and get to grips with Flash before buying the Flash Point & Click game engine.
